This Valentine’s, 50% of all proceeds from the Beards Lovestruck Collection will be donated to Action Medical Research.

The pledge has been made by Beards to celebrate their title sponsorship of Dr Dawn Harper’s Wine & Dine event at Ellenborough Park. The event will take place on the evening of Friday 4 March in full support of Action Medical Research.

Alex Rose, Managing Direction of Beards, said: “We’re thrilled to be supporting our much loved friend Dr Dawn Harper with this wonderful event. The evening is set to be a star-studded occasion raising vital funds and awareness for Action Medical Research’s essential work. Due to the romance behind its design, the Beards Lovestruck Collection is one of our best selling collections, especially at this time of year. By donating 50% we are hoping to raise the evening’s total to an even greater sky high figure.”

The Beards Lovestruck Collection is a fanciful play on Cupid’s arrow and the love heart. Inspired by the age-old motif, the Lovestruck Collection accentuated the playful nature of the love heart, transforming it into a stylish and modern piece. All pieces purchased from the collection this February and March will support the work of Action Medical Research with 50% going to the charity.

Sponsored by Beards, TV medic Dr Dawn Harper will host a unique evening of opera, fine wine and food. Dr Dawn is best known for presenting Channel 4’s award winning Embarrassing Bodies. For one night only, guests are invited to party into the early hours with Dawn and many more famous faces, including Dawn’s fellow presenters, as she swaps her white coat for ball gown. Beards will be adding the glitz to the glamour as they present a collection of jewellery suites throughout the evening.

The charities efforts have been funding medical breakthroughs since its founding in 1952, these include the first polio vaccines in the UK, ultrasound in pregnancy and the rubella vaccine, helping to save and change the lives of thousands of children.
