SIMPSONS Fish & Chips are embarking on a town-wide search to reward a local hero.

The award-winning chippy is urging the people of Cheltenham to nominate those who have truly gone the extra mile this year. Simpsons will be awarding one lucky nominee with an extra dollop of festive cheer this Christmas Eve.

Nominations have already been flooding in for those who have overcome adversity, completed extreme trials for charity and made a real impacted in the community.

Co-founder of Simpsons Fish & Chips James Ritchie said: “As a town, Cheltenham is overflowing with people doing great things. So this Christmas we’re hunting out a true local star who has really gone above and beyond throughout the year.

Whether it is someone who has completed an extraordinary challenge, beaten a personal battle or simply given their time to helping others, we want to hear all about them!

Although Fish and chips might not be the most conventional Christmas gift, we think it will be a great surprise and a little way to show a token of appreciation to someone whose efforts have really benefited others.”

The winner will receive a Simpsons festive hamper including up to six free portions of Simpsons’ famous Fish & Chips and a generous helping of their festive creation – The Battered Christmas pudding; alongside a bottle of bubbly and a Christmas film. This delicious prize will be delivered to the winner’s door on Christmas Eve.

Nominations close on 19 December 2014 and can be made online here: www.simpsonsfishandchips.co.uk/hamper. The winner will be announced on 22 December and the hamper will be delivered to them on 24 December.
