The countdown has begun to the RHS Malvern Spring Festival. 2015 heralds the 30th anniversary of the show that is taking place at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern.

Visitors can expect stunning show gardens alongside award-winning nurseries, gardening experts and celebrity chefs. Advanced tickets are on sale now priced from £15 for RHS and TCAS members and from £16 for non-members. Tickets will be available on the gate from £19.

At this year’s show, which takes place in just over 3 months, visitors will enjoy:

  • Wow-factor Show Gardens:

  • Festival Gardens - Introduced in 2014 this national competition offers a platform for anyone with an interest in design to exhibit at RHS Malvern. The Festival Gardens category attracts new designers from all walks of life and celebrates their energy, enthusiasm and ideas. Each Festival Garden designer has received a bursary of £3,000 along with access to a panel of experts to help build his or her garden. The Festival Gardens can embody any concept and embrace new technology, trends and materials. They give designers the freedom and opportunity to express themselves through the medium of plants and the garden.

  • School Gardens – Always one of the most popular areas of the show, 20 schools from across the region design and build gardens under the watchful eye of BBC Blue Peter Gardener Chris Collins. Budding gardeners will be able to get their fingers dirty in planting workshops and craft activities and on Sunday 10th May see CBeebies star Ben Faulks as Mr. Bloom! 

  • Floral Marquee – Over 80 nurseries from across the UK and abroad will delight visitors with stunning RHS Gold medal standard displays, celebrating old favourites and introducing new varieties. Gardening expert, Reg Moule will be hosting a ‘Potting Bench’ where he will introduce the different exhibitors, share top tips and highlight the stars of the Floral Marquee

  • Plant Stands – Enjoy quality shopping from the crème de la crème of nurseries from across the UK and abroad. Discover new varieties, stock up on old favourites, find the perfect plant for the perfect spot and get plenty of advice on how to keep your specimens in tip top condition.

  • ‘Get Going, Get Growing’ – Visitors will enjoy special workshops and let TV gardeners Christine Walkden (The One Show), Jim Buttress (The Big Allotment Challenge) and Chris Collins (Blue Peter Gardener) show you how to sow, grow and harvest flowers, fruit and vegetables for a truly ‘grow your own’ experience. Jon Wheatley, RHS gold medal winning garden designer and landscaper, is also creating three different gardens in this area, the Front Garden, the Kitchen Garden and the Wildflower Garden and will be sharing his top tips on how to re-create them at home.

  • Festival Green with Celebrity Theatre - The Festival Green leads into the Show Gardens and Celebrity Theatre, featuring a bandstand with live music, classic cars, street food, picnic area and a craft market. At the heart of the Festival Green, TV chef Raymond Blanc and Mark Diacono (River Cottage) and famed TV grocer Gregg Wallace will entertain festival goers alongside TV gardeners including Carol Klein, Joe Swift and James Alexander-Sinclair.

  • Festival Food and Drink Pavilion - A lively market square atmosphere incorporating a variety of food producers along with a food court offering a range of items from artisan producers from across the region and further afield. Local food hero Rob Rees aka The Cotswold Chef will lead demonstrations in the Festival Kitchen.
