Cowley Manor is delighted to announce the launch of its brand new restaurant, MALT.
A beautifully crafted new social dining concept, MALT will open its doors in early August.
Celebrating Britain’s culinary heritage and embracing international food influences, the new restaurant will be led by Head Chef James Graham. Open from breakfast time through to late at night, MALT will welcome both hotel guests and locals alike.
Reflecting Cowley Manor’s own unique blend of contemporary design and home-from-home comfort, much of the menu has been designed to share which diners can enjoy while socialising in this incredibly designed new space.
Signature sharing dishes include a selection of grazing plates such as Home Corned Beef Bon Bons with horseradish, Malt Black Pudding and 50 Day Aged Hereford Beef Tartare; alongside Fire Grilled Pizzas, Roast Rack of Pork and Cote de Boeuf for two. To finish it off, diners can share a Malteaser for two – a bombe of parfait and crunchies.
MALT will also be serving up take-away pizzas for locals to enjoy at home.
With a commitment to working hand-in-hand with trusted suppliers of high repute, the menu will focus on featuring sustainable, seasonal produce and only the finest ingredients.
SO WHY THE NAME 'MALT'?
Sir James Horlick, the Malted Milk magnate, bought Cowley Manor in the 1890’s and embarked on a vast landscaping and building programme across the estate, making much of Cowley what it is today. Embracing the same sense of innovation and directional influence, Malt is a nod to Cowley’s past, whilst paving the way for its culinary future.
Diners can expect dishes as inventive and unique as the vivid, contemporary surroundings of MALT. Ornate lime washed panelled walls and grand tall ceilings will juxtapose against overscale spherical lighting by Moooi, modernist tables and chairs and a bold use of colour, to create a space that is both modern yet warm and inviting.
