Landform Consultants have today been awarded 1 Gold, 3 Silver Gilts and 1 Silver RHS Medal at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Announced just moments ago, the leading landscape construction and design team have been highly commended for their work on five Show Gardens at this year’s iconic event.
Affectionately known as “the construction king of Chelsea”, Managing Director of Landform Consultants Mark Gregory is a veteran of RHS Chelsea Flower Show having spent a grand total of three year’s of his life on the grounds of Royal Hospital. This year sees Mark build his 150th RHS Show garden, as designed by Landform’s lead designer, Catherine MacDonald. This momentous garden received:
- The Hartley Botanic Garden, designed by Catherine MacDonald and built by Mark Gregory, Landform Consultants – SILVER GILT
Catherine is one of seven female designers showcasing gardens at this year’s event. 2016 is the first year Hartley Botanic have exhibited their very own Show Garden on Main Avenue. Catherine’s design celebrates the best of British engineering and innovation. At its heart stands one of the glasshouse structure that Hartley Botanic are globally renowned for. Catherine’s design showcases the Hartley Botanic Bespoke Range and demonstrates the perfect juxtaposition of contemporary style balanced with traditional elements of walled garden and naturalistic planting.
Mark Gregory, Managing Director of Landform, said: “This year’s show has been amazing, it’s been absolutely phenomenal! This is a really significant moment for the Landform team. I’m so proud of what we have achieved and also to be sharing this moment with Catherine, she’s such a talented designer and to see her work sitting comfortably alongside the talent on Main Avenue gaining the recognition she deserves. We now look to plans for Hampton Court, dare I say it.”

The Landform team have brought to life two further show gardens on Main Avenue:
- The Chelsea Barracks Garden, designed by Jo Thompson – GOLD
- The Watahan East & West Garden, designed by Chihori Shibayama and Yano Tea – SILVER
The team have also built one of this year’s Artisan Gardens:
- Papworth Trust – Together We Can, designed by Peter Eustance MSGD – SILVER GILT
Alongside consulting on one final garden:
- The Harrods British Eccentrics Garden, designed by Diarmuid Gavin - SILVER GILT
Mark’s 150th Garden has been co-built by a team from The Landscape Skills Academy. Mark is passionate about supporting the next generation in the industry and works alongside fellow landscaper and plantsman Jody Lidgard supporting the organisation. The Landscape Skills Academy inspires and encourages apprentices and young people over a range of industries to be ambitious in their pursuit of skills excellence.
