Multi-award winning landscaper Mark Gregory, from Surrey based Landform Consultants, will build his 150th RHS show garden at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Designed by Landform’s lead designer, Catherine MacDonald, The Hartley Botanic Garden on Chelsea’s Main Avenue is set to be a momentous garden for the Landform team as they hope to take home yet another prestigious RHS title.
Mark Gregory, Managing Director of Landform, said: “This is a really significant moment for both myself and Landform. I’m thrilled to be celebrating my 150th RHS show garden at the world’s greatest flower show. RHS Chelsea has a really special place in my heart and I have been so fortunate to play such a pivotal role in what is the jewel in the crown of the RHS show season. I’m so privileged to have such a phenomenally hard working team behind me. Working behind the scenes, they often go unmentioned, but their hard work and attention to detail combined with the designer’s vision is what makes all eyes turn to Chelsea in the last week of May. I worked out that I’ve spent over 3 years of my life at the grounds of the Royal Hospital so what better place to build my 150th RHS show garden.”
Mark’s 150th garden celebrates 13 successful years in business for Landform. Mark’s pedigree is undeniable and alongside heading up Landform, he is incredibly active in the Landscaping and Horticultural industries. Mark is a regular RHS Judge and Assessor and has recently been appointed Director of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) and Chairman of the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL).
Mark is held in high regard by many of his fellow industry members and is often a source for advice and guidance for up and coming talent. Mark lectures across the country delivering workshops and seminars for the Society of Garden Designers, British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) and the APL.
Mark’s 150th Garden will see him joined by a team of WorldSkills UK competition winners who will form the team building the garden. Mark is passionate about supporting the next generation in the industry and works alongside fellow landscaper Jody Lidgard supporting the organisation. WorldSkills UK inspires and encourages apprentices and young people over a range of industries to be ambitious in their pursuit of skills excellence.
The Hartley Botanic Garden celebrates the British-engineered glasshouse structures created by Hartley Botanic. The garden’s designer, Catherine is just one of seven female garden designers showcasing on Main Avenue at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Catherine’s design showcases the Hartley Botanic Bespoke Range and demonstrates the perfect juxtaposition of contemporary style balanced with traditional elements of walled garden and naturalistic planting.
