MOORISH SMOKED HUMOUS AND DIPS have introduced four exciting new flavours to their award winning range: Tastyish Smoked Humous with Caramelised Red Onion, Superdelish Creamy Red Pepper Smoked Dip, Heartyish White Bean & Semi Dried Tomato Smoked Dip and Nauticalish Taramasalata Smoked Dip.

The additions mark an exciting expansion for the brand, which has gone from strength to strength since its founding in 2012. All Moorish products are naturally-cold smoked over oak chips which helps them last longer (naturally) and taste great without the addition of any artificial colours or flavours.

Tastyish Smoked Humous with Caramelised Red Onion blends the earthy smokiness of Moorish humous with the gorgeously rich but subtly sweet caramelised red onion. Perfect for dipping, mezzes, with grilled dishes or warm flatbread. Vegan and free from gluten-containing ingredients.

Superdelish Creamy Red Pepper Smoked Dip, fruity and rich with a delicate spice. Perfectly balanced with a natural sweetness from the tomato and freshly roasted red pepper; offset by the delicious earthiness from Moorish’s natural smoking process plus the zing of just enough chipotle chilli. Great with tortilla chips, in any kind of sandwich or for stirring into fresh pasta. Vegetarian and free from gluten-containing ingredients.

Heartyish White Bean & Semi Dried Tomato Smoked Dip, wholesome and satisfying with a sweet zing of tomato and fragrance of basil. Perfect for mezze, sandwiches or to add a fruity tomato oomph to roast or grilled meat. Vegetarian and free from gluten-containing ingredients.

Nauticalish Taramasalata Smoked Dip fabulously flavoursome with a smoky twist. An irresistibly decadent taramasalata, made with quality ingredients and a delicious Moorish twist. Best served simply with warm pitta bread and olives; or as a great way to liven up your mezze. Free from gluten-containing ingredients.

The four new flavours will stand alongside the other four established flavours: Smokeyish Original Delicious Smoked Humous, Zingyish Lemon & Dill Smoked Humous, Devilish Chilli Harissa Smoked Humous and Smoothish Aubergine Smoked Dip.

The three original dips: Smokeyish, Zingyish and Devilish, gained Great Taste Gold Awards in 2013. Late 2013 saw the arrival of Smoothish, the smoked Aubergine dip and July 2014 saw the four new varieties join the range. The entire range is available through Ocado.

Ex-BBC journalist and self-confessed foodie, Julie Waddell founded The Little Smoked Food Company in 2012. Inspired by a fussy 4 year old and armed with a wok, some tea leaves, rice and brown sugar, Julie perfected a smoked humous that not only had her son raiding her fridge, but friends too. A taste test at a local deli ensued with 4:1 results in her favour so Julie decided to take Moorish to market with astounding results.
