CHELTENHAM is gearing up to the much-anticipated launch of Urban Outfitters on Tuesday 23rdOctober.
Urban Outfitters will get the party started from 5pm until 9pm with guest DJs, drinks and the chance to win £500 to spend in store.*
Urban Outfitters’ first store in the county will be housed within the newly extended retail arm of The Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham and will showcase iconic brands such as Levis, Calvin Klein and Vivienne Westwood in the 8,000sq ft space.
Designed in line with Urban Outfitters’ recognisable style the new store is situated on the corner of Bennington Street next to another new Brewery Quarter opening, luxury menswear retailer Luke 1977. New dessert parlour, Creams Café is just around the corner into the scheme and is also due to open just in time for half-term.
Cheltenham shoppers and visitors to the area are clearly benefitting from the retail and hospitality diversity that the £30m regeneration programme, completed in January 2018, has drawn to this part of the town.
Phil Martin, Director of Martin Commercial Properties which manages The Brewery Quarter scheme said “It is fantastic that in the current period of economic uncertainty high profile businesses are still being attracted to Cheltenham. The Brewery Quarter is going from strength to strength and with John Lewis opening this month too, the future of Cheltenham’s High Street is looking extremely promising.”
The last twelve months have been the most successful ever for The Brewery Quarter with almost 5 million people visiting the scheme, an increase of 15% on last year. In the last 3 months alone footfall has risen by a staggering 25% which explains why seven lifestyle and hospitality brands have chosen The Brewery Quarter as their new home.
Office occupancy also reaches its maximum capacity this month with high fashion beauty brand SLG, the company behind Superdry’s and Little Mix’s cosmetics ranges, picking up their keys to commence their multi-million pound uber luxe office refit alongside international insurance broker THB Globalselecting the site for their regional office.
Demelsa Coleman, Marketing manager for The Brewery Quarter said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for us. We will have welcomed a total of seven new tenants since this time last year with three of them opening within the next two weeks and the fourth before Christmas. We feel that this perfectly demonstrates our continuing commitment to bring desirable and successful brands to Cheltenham and establish The Brewery Quarter as the place to be for anyone wishing to make their mark in the retail, food or fashion scene in the South West.”
All three brands launching this month will throw open their doors within days of each other, kicking off with Luke 1977 and closely followed by Creams Café both opening in time for half term week and Urban Outfitters hosting their launch party on 23rdOctober.
The Botanist is set to open in early December, with the exact date still to be announced.
